I’ve gotten into the habit of putting a sheet of tin foil on my gas grill for things like chicken breast and hamburgers. It keeps alot of the flavor. I’m making kabobs tonight (newbie) and using a pinapple and soy marinade with some brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice. I’ll have cherry tomatoes, chicken breast, pinapple chunks, and green peps. I’ll be brushing the kabobs a lot. Now before I screw this up, should I lay down tin foil in the grill to cook on? or would I be better off without it?

This is the ingredients I have that can be used as bbq sauce but how much of it? Any other ingredients? I don’t have much stuff in the cabinet and fridge.

Brown sugar
ketchup
tomato sauce
lemon juice
worchestershire sauce

I have some boneless chicken breast and I would like to make some kind of Asian/Chinese flavored dish with it, preferably to be served over fried rice. I dont have very many "exotic" items in the kitchen but I know I do have these for sure: soy sauce, worchestershire sauce, red onions, brown sugar, honey, red pepper flakes, apple juice(i saw this in an asian dish before) honey mustard, garlic. If you have any recipes I can make, please tell me!

I love cooking, not to mention eating it afterwards! Would anyone want to swap recipes?

Here is one I can give you, if you want another just ask.

Teriyaki Chicken:
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs cooking sherry, optional
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp garlic powder
12 chicken drumsticks (wings, breast, ect. work as well) -about 2 1/2 pounds.

In a large glass sih, combine the soy sauce, oil, brown sugar, cooking sherry if desired, ginger, and garlic powder; mix well. Add chicken; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight, turning occasionally.
Drain and discard marinade. Place chicken in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 mintues or until chicken is no longer pink
Yeild: 6 servings.

I got this recipe from the cook book, "Grandma’s Favorites". Its a great very good meal!

Barbecue chicken for me, slow-baked and tender. Oven fries drizzled with olive oil and seasoning salt.
Apple crisp with oatmeal-brown sugar topping.

What others ones are good to take the chill out of the house?

I’m making pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches. Which would be better to use in the BBQ sauce – yellow or brown mustard? Would yellow mustard be too sweet or tangy or something?
Other ingredients in the recipe:
ketchup
brown sugar
garlic
steak sauce
lemon juice
I might add some other spices/seasonings, but that’s all that’s in the recipe.

Hey guys
I’m trying my darnedest to save money for grad school. So can you tell me, with only the ingredients I’m going to list, what the best way of grilling some chicken breasts on the George Foreman are?

-chicken breasts
-parmesan cheese
-ketchup
-mayo
-shredded cheddar cheese
-onion powder (and some other spices)
- grey poupon mustard
-honey
-Honey teriyaki marinade
-creamy italian dressing
-thousand island dressing
-bread crumbs
-taco seasoning
-brown sugar

Obviously, you don’t need to include all the ingredients. I prefer sweeter tasting chicken and I’m kind of tired of chicken with italian dressing, topped with parmisan cheese (baked). Can you also include brief cooking directions (how long to marinade, how long to cook for, etc.). You may also assume I have a few other basic ingredients (salt, pepper, milk, sugar, etc.).

Give me your best!
Thanks.

Years ago I had a lemon chicken recipe that involved fried chicken that was baked with brown sugar. Lemon Juice was also in the recipe. Does anyone have a recipe that is similar to that?
