  • Ronald Greene:

If the chicken has been pre-cooked, then an internal temperature of 150 to 160 degrees F will be pleasing to the palate. The issue of safety was more relevant when the chicken was raw than it is now. As long as the pie was stored properly (below 40 degrees, F) then it’s safe.

Raw chicken white meat needs to be cooked to 161-163 degrees, and dark meat to 165-167 degrees F.

If the chicken is already cooked then it doesn’t matter. As hot as you want it, but probably no less than 140 Fahrenheit (60 C), or it will seem cold by the time you slice it and serve it.

If you have kept left over chicken pie in the refrigerator, you don’t have to worry. But don’t keep this or more than 2 or 3 days, freezer would be better for a longer time. So the amount of heat would depend on how warm you would like it to be.

According to me 70-75 C is enough temperature for it

Once the pie’s cooked, the poultry does not spoil , like it would with a fresh chicken and then refreeze it- When you want to heat the pie. preheat your oven to 350 and before it reaches 350 put the pie in and let it heat for 20 mins Keep the top covered with foil
